Your Screams Have Been Answered!

Agor_the_Mad_-_Ork_WeirdboyIt looks as though Gork (or was it Mork?) has seen fit to make sure we have maximum carnage happenin’ at this years Granite City Waaagh!Fest!

We had no idea there were so many people this excited to throw dice in a bar over very expensive miniature action figures, much less our little shindig. When we saw how many people were still wanting to sign up, we had to open registration up to a maximum of 64 players, up form 48. A warning ahead – this will always be our limit as the location won’t fit anymore!

So, if you haven’t had a chance to sign up, head on over and do so now.

Hotel Deals for Waaagh!Fest

We know there’s a large number of folks that come in form out of the St. Cloud area to attend this event. Kudos and a huge thanks to you! We’re also aware that a number of you decide to “curb you enthusiasm” in the later hours because of a long (and responsible) drive back to the Twin Cities, Duluth, Fargo, and even further. We’re hoping to help some of you in making the funner choice this year.

We’ve managed to secure a block of rooms at the Quality Inn in St. Cloudfor $119 a night (normally $149/night). All you need to do to secure this rate is to mention you’re part of the Waaagh!Fest group when registering. This offer is good until May 11th.

So what does that really get you? Well, the Quality Inn is two miles from the Waaagh!Fest event itself so it’s a short (and cheap) cab ride to the hotel. Not only that, the festivities carry on at one of two places: Old Chicago or Boulder Tap House. Old Chicago is connected to the hotel, and Boulder Tap House is 150′ across the parking lot from Old Chicago. That means access to 80+ taps and 60+ bottles of different beers available AFTER we’re done having our way with the Moose Lodge.

We’ll add the Quality Inn location and contact information to the Location page so it’s there for easy reference.

And if you’re still not sure, ask the Lords of War group for references toย  what the after event is like…. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Holy Gork! (or Mork!) Two Weeks and Armylists.

trukkSo, the imminent panic attack that comes with realizing there’s only two weeks left until the greenest party uv da year happens (yes, dis trumps St. Paddy’s Day, right?) and dere’s an orky tonne of werk to be done. Prizes, beer, and food are all lined up so da important stuff is taken care of, at least. ๐Ÿ™‚

I know many of you went to BugEater this year so welcome back and congrats to those who placed! I expect there’s a bunch of ya tweakin’ yer lists for da other dig day, so we do need to get yer armylists – these are due by June 16th so we’ve got time to cross check everything. As you know, the game has gotten quite complicated so be kind and give us some time to make sure things are copacetic.

Please send your armylists to either Marv at or myself at

Clarifications as We Get Closer to Game Day

paul-huckThere’s been a few questions popping up as we close this last month before Waaagh!Fest! 5 so I thought I’d address the most common here because they mostly affect the list building component.

We chose to use the ITC format for most of our rules, especially when it comes to list building. Recently there has been a lot of talk swirling around the the surveys just completed and Reccuss’ online opinions of the results, which they use in making changes to the format. I’ll put this out there right away: THEY HAVE NOT MADE ANY CHANGES TO THE FAQ BASED ON THESE FINDINGS.

We’ve decided to not use any changes made 30 days prior to the event, just like the adoption of new codices released within that same time frame, and for all of the same reasons. Use the FAQ dated 2/2015.

That said, the new Imperial Knights codex raises the question of LoW, since ALL Knights are considered LoW now. We are choosing to allow the new codex as is but you are limited to a MAXIMUM of three Knights in ANY army list, no matter how you organize it. You shalt not useย  four. Five is right out!

The other question that has arose is how to use the “allowed, non-Warhammer40K Approved/legal LoW” list provided by ITC and linked to in the Roolz section. Use the list on our Rooolz page to determine if the LoW you wich to use is legal, then use the ITC linked chart to see what source you should be using for that particular model.

As usual, any other questions, please contact me at
