Waaagh!Fest 2013 Registration Now Open

Jan-2-2013

2ork-2Registration for this years Granite City Waaagh!Fest is now open. There area few changes to this years event, what with the introduction to 6th Edition, there will also be a change in venue. This years event will be held at the Waite Park Moose Lodge (just down the street from last years Waaagh!Fest). Sadly, due to operating costs, we've had to increase the entry fee from $30 to $40.

Speaking of things that have increased…. We've upped the number of open slots to 64 participants! The new space will have more than enough room and gives us a lot more flexibility (and better lighting 😉 ) There's also some other cool things we plan on introducing this year so make sure you get in early!

Cheers!

Randy Tenvoorde and
The Waaagh!Fest Staff.

INCOMMING!!! New Flyers Tourny Legit

OMG - Ork Bommer!Unless you've been living under a spore patch the last month, you already know that the new White Dwarf magazine from Games WOrkshop has released three new fliers (well, 5 including options – for orks!!!) in issue #389. With stores already taking pre-orders, these models can be in players hands by Waaagh!Fest. I've had some inquireies as to eligibility for play already, and why wouldn't you want too? We here at Waaagh!Fest feel that since the magazine article and rules for these machines are listed as "Official" by GW, they're  good to go for the tournament. And they should be a lot of fun too!

We do however ask that players wishing to use the new models also have the issue of White Dwarf #389 with them so opponents may paw through youre new magazine and see the rules fopr themselves. This shouldn not be an optional thing either – bring the model, bring the magazine.

We just gotta say, if we don't see at least three of those new ork models blasting around the boards, we're going to be sorrily dissappointed! (that that IG!)

Mar-28-2012

Sorry to say folks, the roster for Granite City Waaagh!Fest is officially full. I'm surprised to see the extra eight slots fill so quick after opening them up, Don't fret though, I'll be posting a sign up form in the next day or so for those who wish to be put on a waiting list. Sometimes people have to drop for whatever reason and I'll be pulling from this list to replace these folks. You will be contacted in the order in which you submited to be included on the waiting list.

I'll post an update both here and Facebook to inform everyone when this goes online.

Thanks again for those who did get in and I can't wait to see everyone here!

Waaagh!Fest Expanding to 40 Players!

Mar-23-2012

With three months (pretty much) left until Waaagh!Fest 2012, there's only one more slot left and I know there some people who haven't registered yet. We've decided to add another 8 slots, expanding the field to 40 players to accomodate these folks. After that we'll open a "Waiting List" sign up for people who want to play and could fill in for people who need to drop or not show. (that and we don't have any more tables ready!)

Remember too that t-shirts are on sale online until May 28th as well and available for $16 – $17.50. These will be availabe for pick up at the event.

I dropped some spanna wrenches across a few gretchin skulls and got us some dealz on armour dis year. Well, regular ork t-shirt armour dat iz! I've gotten a break on the shirt prices from $20 last year to $16 this year, and they're waaaay cooler than last years threads. The image to the right is the mockup and pretty much what it'll look like.

These awesome shirts can be ordered online, right now, right here!

Remember to make sure you order soon enough to we can have them produced in time. The final day to order shirts will be May 28th.

Man, I can't wait to get these shirts, too cool. And thanks again to Clayton Tait for the great artwork! (he's threatening custom artwork for next year 😉 )
