The biggest news though is the poster/artwork for this years Waaagh!Fest. Fellow ork big mek and very talented artist (meanin' drawer of tings orky), taytonclait, has graciously given us permission to use an outstanding piece for our poster. (at right) I can't wait to see this thing on the large board, standing at the door and awaiting the winners (which is all of us).

Make sure you go over to his Deviantart gallery and check out the rest of his fantastic work. Maybe we can get him to do something custom for us next year

Last year was a tremendous success so I guess we're gonna do this all again! Thrity two slots, a fun bar that we basically take over for the day and a bunch of really great players converging to eat, drink, play and meet new  people and experience 40K the way it was meant to be. The location is McCann's Food and Brewpub as last year but we've got many more surprises in store this time.

One is a local terrain competition amongst the local players/builders. We'll be having a board desing/building contest between now and early June. Competitors will design and build a board of whatever choosing and theme they want. A public voting poll will determine the winner whose table will become the championship table table where the top two conteders will play against each other in the Octagon Cage! Details will be posted on St.Cloud Wargmaing.com soon.

Of course there will be prizes and I've got a really cool idea for the top trophies this year that will be hard to beat. As mentioned earlier, we had such a blast running last years show that we knew right away we'd be doing this again. Now we can't wait to spring all the fun stuff on you folks this time.

Remeber to take a swing through the Rules page and talke to your friends/enemies and set aside the time to come on down, up and over – you wont regret it!

ps: I'll start checking around soon on hotel accomodiations – I won't be able to get any really good deals unless I can confirm 10 plus rooms though, but we'll keep our eyes peeled.

Directions from HWY 10: Get off HWY 10 at the HWY 23 exit to St. Cloud. This is Division Street. Follow Division St. West until you reach 33rd Ave. Take a right and go to 3rd St. N. McCann's will be on your left.

Directions from I94: Follow I94 to HWY 15. Take HWY15 North until you reach HWY23 (Division St.). Take a right onto Division (HWY23). Take a left at 33rd Ave. and go to 3rd St. N. McCann's will be on your left.

If anyone has a problem with getting to McCann's, give me a call at 1-320-420-0997. I'll cross my fingers about reception in the basement.

At this point I don't know which door(s) are going to be open to us this early. I suppose which ever side of the building that has cars parked at it! If you're coming from the "front" of the building, you'll need to head through the front door, throught the bar and to the left will be a set of stairs leading to the basement where the tournament will be held. If you're coming from the "back" parking lot, you won't be able to miss it as it'll be right around the left and down the stairs.

I'm hoping to have big enough signage so there's no mistaking you're in the right place. For those who are just visiting and not playing, you should be able to come on down and grab a seat (after ordering an appropriate beverage) and enjoy the games.

Armylists were due June 4th. It's a pretty soft date but there are a few of you who haven't sent them in yet. You can email me pdfs, word docs or Army Builder .rst files to sukigod@bigshoota.com anytime before Saturday morning.

Make sure you have copies of your armylists to hand to your opponent before the game. This is very, very important and per the rules, you may be docked Sportsmanship points for not providing these. Speaking of rules, it won't hurt to make one more spin throught the Rules Page before Saturday.

I'll be posting pics of McCann's Food and Brew Pub this week so those who aren't from around here will know what to look for.
